The multi dimensional internet material  which we refer you to, mainly consists of sound pictures, educational cards, little poems, rhyming  songs, cartoons, little dialogues, stories, fables,  handcraft, jigsaws, puzzles and games. This site offers parents some ideas on a multitude of tools, which combined  with the stimuli coming from their environment, make learning fun. Parents, child minders, nursery practitioners are spared the effort of searching the uncharted waters of the internet. They are given suggestions to  keep kids busy through the references we provide, the coloring, cut and paste activities, the crafts, the educational resources, the puzzles or printable worksheets on home, food, toys, festivals, celebrations, animals, domestic or not, to mention but a few. The material concerns: 

 

  • Sound  images  and colored electronic cards which teach  lexical items. 

  • E story books which illustrate words, situations, emotions and meanings thanks to innovative  ways of presenting information.   

  • Rhymes for developing  phonemic awareness. 

  • Little poems which familiarize children with the sounds of the language.  

  •  Songs, which play with words, have repetition and are an open invitation to dance. 

  •  Little fairy tales which convey universal  culture  and wisdom, arouse preschool children’s senses, provoke their curiosity and imagination and  transfer them to the worlds of dreams and tales. 

  • Little clips,  mostly enacting  enchanting stories with recurrent motives and phrases. 

  • Game like activities which encourage speech and  use of  language in an entertaining way. 

  • Role playing and imitation games which stimulate the children’s  senses   and their short attention span. 

  • Humorous and surrealist cartoons which do not only act as sources of laughter, relief and enjoyment but teach language as well. 

  • Educational programs which vividly transfer knowledge which  we could not experience otherwise. 

  • Based on our kid’s interest, we need to provide them with the material  which we think will motivate them and relate to them. On top of that, we could create our own scenarios. We could for example, create a greengrocer’s shop in a corner of the child’s room and with just a few items like an apple, an orange, a carrot, a banana create activities and  play by alternating in the role of a shop owner and a customer. 

  • Customer. "Good morning. Ι want an apple please. And  a lemon please". 

  • Shop owner. "Here you are sir. Anything else?"

  • And every time we can add something else to our shop. Our little ones will   ask for more and every  time they will  learn and practice new phrases. And of course if we learn the fruits we also learn their colors too.  The yellow  lemon, the red apple, the green pepper, the orange carrot. Later we can learn “ten lemon, one euro”, 5 bananas one euro  so on. Engaging activities like these help children maintain mental images in their memory and do not at all resemble school materials  and methodologies or force sedentary learning.  

 

With this diverse material of English, parents will be able to entertain their children from the second until their twelfth year of their lives and will be in  tune with contemporary educational methodologies. It all involves oral and body expression, music, motion and game like activities which encourage children to experience English while playing. Starting as early as  that you give your children  experiences which will stay with them and shape their character. This project  will help children love English and have a positive attitude for the systematic learning of the language which will follow.
