CHARADES, PASSWORD & BOX OF LIES IN AN EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT

                                    

Let us admit it. We crave student engagement; the reward we get when our students are truly involved is so compensating that we will endlessly  invent techniques and activities to achieve it. Games like Charades, Pictionary, Password and Box of Lies certainly arrest students’ interest. These versatile classic TV show  games are used in the very  popular American TV show “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”, episodes of which are uploaded on You Tube. These games can be adapted in structure, content and focus to apply to education and add flavour and excitement to learning sessions. After all, teaching  is like a performance art constructed live in the moment.
