THE VALUE OF A DRAMA CLUB EXTENDS FAR BEYOND ITS MEMBERS      

 

Drama is surely a flexible form of art and  an educational tool. The Drama Club members certainly benefit  a lot from it since they foster their creativity, language skills, imaginative capacities and expressive means  while developing  socially and  having fun. The active members of a drama club learn to develop  team-spirit, solidarity and  group identity and  eventually cultivate  feelings of self-worth  which  positively affect their personal identity. They participate in warm-up games  like  voice warm-ups, trust developers and activities to strengthen their levels of concentration.  Their English improves, particularly their articulation and speaking ability and of course  they learn to improvise and mime. They are exposed to various stimuli  like costumes, make up, music and dance. They develop holistically as they are free of the pressure of studying.
